Dr Ravnit Grewal

Dr Ravnit Grewal is currently a Principal Pathologist/Senior lecturer at the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS), Universitas Hospital, Department of Haematology and Cell biology, School of Pathology, Faculty of Health Sciences, and University of the Free State. She qualified in 2010 from Stellenbosch University (SU) after acquiring the FC Path (Haem), M Med. Thereafter she worked for the (NHLS)/SU at Tygerberg Hospital until 2017.

 She has several research interests; her primary interest being HIV related lymphomas. She therefore joined the South African Bioinformatics Institute at the University of the Western Cape, South African Medical Research Council to work with a scientific team in order to focus on current innovative oncology research as diagnostic and management practices move towards precision medicine (2018-2020). Additionally she has served first as an expert reviewer for the EDL SAGE IVD, World Health Organization, 2019 and thereafter as a member in 2020.
