Prof Hairong Huang
Biography
Professor Hairong Huang is a biologist on tuberculosis, Director of National Tuberculosis Clinical Laboratory of China, China CDC, holder of a PhD on Inner Medicine and a Postdoctoral in Microbiology. Since 2011 she has been working for Beijing Tuberculosis & Thoracic Tumor Research Institute/Beijing Chest Hospital where she is Professor.
As a biologist on tuberculosis, her work interest is closely related with the functions of the National Tuberculosis Clinical Laboratory, involve in the National TB Program (NTP) and research on both an applied and a basic research track. On the applied track, trying to develop good diagnostic which is - feasible for developing countries; trying to answers questions that arise during patient health care. On the basic research side, the interest focuses on gene function identification and pathogenicity analysis.
During her career, she has authored and co-authored more than 90 publications in China and abroad.
