World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

Date: 21 November 2004
Location: United Kingdom

Initiated by RoadPeace in 1993, the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims was soon adopted by member organizations of FEVR, the European Federation for Road Traffic Victims and begun to be observed beyond Europe. The Pope and other religious leaders remember road victims on that day and secular events are also held. Throughout the UK, co-ordinated by RoadPeace, special services are held in places of worship and special assemblies take place in schools.
