Invitation - expressions of interest for the development of a HRH progress report

In order to respond to the great demand for improved information and regular accountability on Human Resources for Health (HRH) issues, the Global Health Workforce Alliance (the Alliance) invites suitable institutions to express their interest in the development of a HRH progress report, which will be launched at the Third Global Forum on HRH, in November 2013 in Recife, Brazil.

Building on the 2006 World Health Report, the 2008 Kampala Declaration and Agenda for Global Action (KD/AGA), and the 2011 KD/AGA Progress Report, the new HRH progress report will contribute in maintaining accountability on HRH development at the forefront of the development agenda.

The specific objective of this report is to provide a global snapshot of key issues related to HRH development, with a special emphasis on the thematic areas of greatest relevance to national policy makers, and with a focus on the countries affected by the most severe challenges. It is expected to strengthen accountability and to inform HRH advocacy and policy discussions at the Third Global Forum on HRH and beyond, including the on-going policy discourse on universal health coverage and the post-2015 development agenda.

More information on the scope of work, timelines, deliverables and instructions to bidders are provided in the attached document. Tenderers should present their initial submissions by 11pm (CET) on 28 February 2013.
