Call for papers: “Right Time, Right Place: Improving access to health service through effective retention and distribution of health workers”
March 2013 | Alliance member the Health Workforce Australia will be sponsoring a peer-reviewed thematic series on how countries can keep scarce skills in the system by effective retention strategies, and how they can enable them to be deployed where they can best make a positive difference to population health. This series - “Right Time, Right Place: Improving access to health service through effective retention and distribution of health workers,” - will be published in the peer-reviewed journal Human Resources for Health.
This series aims to address one of countries greatest health challenge, namely to improve access to health services and health system effectiveness through implementation of successful health workers retention and deployment strategies. It will report on new analysis, strategic intelligence, and evidence that is pointing to improvements in retention and distribution of health workers.
The deadline for submission is 31 August 2013, and authors are invited to contact the thematic series editor James Buchan from the Health Workforce Australia for any pre-submission outline ideas. More information is available on the BioMed Central blog or by writing directly to James Buchan.
