Invitation to tender: cost-effectiveness study on community health workers
The effectiveness of community health workers in expanding access to essential health services is well established; however significant evidence gaps persist on their cost-effectiveness. In order to help inform policy decisions concerning their role within national health and HRH strategies, the Global Health Workforce Alliance (GHWA) intends to further examine cost-effectiveness of CHW programmes which have been implemented at scale, so as to assist policy makers in the identification of the most efficient, feasible and sustainable CHW models.
The attached invitation to tender outlines the expectations and requirements of this assignment. This invitation to tender is open to qualified institutions anywhere in the world. The selection of a contractor will take place through a competitive bidding process in accordance with the WHO applicable rules and procedures.
The deadline for submissions is 7 April 2013.
