Alliance members e-platform

The cornerstone of the Alliance strategy for 2013 - 2016 is the operationalization of an enhanced partnership model, basically meaning that greater success will be achieved through proactive engagement of Alliance members, among each other, with the Secretariat facilitating and enabling this. To this end, in order to facilitate interaction and greater communication with and between our members, we have launched our members’ e-platform.

This platform is intended to be a one-stop shop for all members of the Alliance to share information about their activities, to network with like-minded organizations and to collaborate around events and issues. We would like members to discuss internally how to integrate the platform for their own needs, ensure the most relevant people are involved, increase sharing information, and collaborate around events or issues for our common goal of addressing health workforce challenges.

The platform will also be the principal communication and discussion channel in planning the 3rd Global Forum on Human Resources for Health, which will be held in Brazil from 10 to 13 November, 2013. All information relevant to Alliance members and partners will be posted on the e-platform first. The platform is the space for anyone who would like to have a voice in shaping the third global forum.

The platform can be accessed through the Alliance website at www.who.int/workforcealliance. A link on the right hand column, "New! Members’e-platform" will take you to the registration page. We have uploaded lots of “how-to” videos to get you started and learn more about what you can do with the platform. We look forward to engaging with all of our members on the e-platform as we work towards our shared vision that all people, everywhere, will have access to a skilled, motivated and supported health worker within a robust health system.
