Alliance Members' Platform Sessions
Overview
The need for the Alliance to engage its members more closely in the development and implementation of its strategies and approaches is evident, and was reinforced by the self-assessment which was recently conducted by the Alliance Secretariat. The outline of the event will therefore entail a participatory facilitation methodology.
Objectives
The objective of the Members' Platform is to acknowledge and create opportunity for Alliance Members to take ownership of the proceedings of the 2nd Global Forum; strengthen the members' networks for close collaboration, and play a proactive and synergistic role in implementing agenda and outcomes emerging from the 2nd Forum.
Agenda
The Members' Platform will be comprised of two sessions:
- Pre-Forum session, 25 January, 8:00 - 10.00, World Ballroom A
The pre-forum session is aimed at briefing participants on the themes and expected outcomes of the Forum to create ownership and active engagements during the various planned activities; - Post-Forum session, 29 January, 13.30 - 15.30, Lotus suite 1-4
At this session, participants will discuss the implications of the outcomes of the Forum for the Alliance and its members, and will identify specific strategies for effective utilization of the members network to achieve this objective.
The Members' Platform Sessions will be open to all delegates taking part at the Second Global Forum on Human Resources for Health.
