Chemical hazards in drinking-water

Methyl tertiary-Butyl Ether (MTBE) in drinking-water

Background

MTBE was not considered in any previous versions of the Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality. The Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality Final Task Force meeting (Geneva, 2003) recommended that MTBE be added to the Guidelines as part of the rolling revision.
