RS10 Project consortium partners review status of road safety legislation in project countries
On 13 December Bloomberg Philanthropies convened partners in the Road Safety in 10 Countries (RS10) Project for a one-day meeting in New York to review the status of road safety legislation in each country and identify the opportunities which exist to advocate for legislative change.
The meeting included a review of accomplishments from 2010-2012 and identification of opportunities for success in 2013-2014 by each of the partner organizations. On behalf of WHO, Dr Margie Peden presented the five main achievements by WHO in 2012 and five potential opportunities for 2013-2014.
It was agreed that WHO will seek additional staff at headquarters to support the legislative agenda in each country.
