Violence and Injury Prevention

Posters

WHO has commissioned a series of child injury prevention posters, each depicting one of the main causes of injury reflected in the World report on child injury prevention: road traffic crashes, drowning, burns, falls and poisoning. The "Clay Figures" series depicts a brightly colored character at the moment of injury. Accompanying text indicates how many children's lives are lost to this particular type of injury each year, and what measures could be taken to prevent these tragedies.

The Clay Figures series was selected from a group of five different poster concepts. Prepared by researchers at Fabrica, the renowned creative design company based in Venice, Italy, the posters are available to WHO's child injury prevention partners for related events and materials. The posters are currently available in English.

Should you wish to make use of these posters by adding national data and information, translating and printing them locally, we encourage you to do so. If you would like to request the printer files for the posters, please contact Laura Sminkey at sminkeyl@who.int
