Terms of reference:
- To provide tobacco product research in support to the implementation of respective provisions of WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) and the European Strategy for Tobacco Control (ESTC).
- To provide training in tobacco product research and control, with particular focus on the needs of countries with limited resources and capacity.
- To provide technical advice and support to WHO and Member States in reviewing and developing legislation in the area of tobacco product regulation and control.
- To support to relevant international laboratory networks.
- To support to WHO in organizing exchange of knowledge, research findings and experiences in the area of tobacco product regulation and control.
- To research and implement WHO FCTC guidelines with respect to the addictive properties of tobacco products and their regulation.
