Bloomberg Initiative grants program
The Bloomberg Initiative (BI) grants program is an important component of the Bloomberg Initiative to reduce tobacco use. Since 2006, with funds from Michael R. Bloomberg, former Mayor of New York City and renowned philanthropist, the grants program supports the development and delivery of high-impact tobacco control interventions at the country level.
The deadline to apply for Round 18 of the grants program has closed. The BI places a priority on countries with the highest prevalence of tobacco usage. The grants are awarded competitively.
The BI grants program is jointly managed by the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union) and the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.
