Publishing Addiction Science: A Guide for the Perplexed
Publishing Addiction Science has been written to advise potential authors of the opportunities for publishing their work in scholarly journals. Its prime audience is graduate students, younger investigators, professional researchers and authors whose first language is not English. It seeks to improve the quality of addiction publishing by educating authors about the ethical and professional issues that affect scientific integrity, such as authorship disagreements, scientific misconduct and ethical decision-making. The editors and principal chapter authors all work for addiction journals.
The book has been compiled by an international group of journal editors with extensive experience in publishing addiction science. It is co-sponsored by the International Society of Addiction Journal Editors (ISAJE), the UK Society for the Study of Addiction, and the World Health Organization.
