The LCx Chlamydia ligase chain reaction assay has been discontinued by its manufacturer, Abbott. Therefore, the data presented in this article is no longer relevant. Please see Article 2 in Issue 6 for a discussion of a similar issue, the reproducibility of positive C. trachomatis and N. gonorrhoeae tests by the BDProbeTec ET System (Becton Dickinson).
