Posters
WHO is pleased to share the "Road Marks" series of five posters, created to promote action on helmets, drink-driving, speeding, seat-belts, and visibility. The posters were launched to mark the First UN Global Road Safety Week. They are available to all who organize events around the world to celebrate the Week.
More than 40% of all road traffic deaths occur among people aged 0–25 years. The Week has therefore been dedicated to "young road users": pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, novice drivers and passengers. The key global event was the World Youth Assembly for Road Safety which brought together delegations of young people from over 100 countries motivated to do more for road safety. The posters illustrate their call to action and invite young people to be part of the solution: wear a helmet, never drink and drive, don't speed, wear a seat-belt and be seen on the road.
Groups interested in making use of the posters for their road safety campaigns are invited to request high resolution printer files for translation and local printing by contacting traffic@who.int.
