The UN Road Safety Collaboration are currently working on the following joint projects:
Manuals on "how to" implement recommendations of the World report on road traffic injury prevention.
Information on legislation around a number of risk factors for road traffic injuries in countries around the world.
UN encourages countries to commemorate the third Sunday in November every year as a World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.
Requested by the UN General Assembly, the event represented a historic opportunity to make progress on tackling a leading cause of death and disability.
The First UN Global Road Safety Week will be organised from the 23-29 April 2007. Events will take place around the world.
