Interim Head of Programme Support and Impact for Plan UK based in London

Plan UK is looking for someone to step into the role of Interim Head of Programme Support and Impact for 6 months starting in October this year.

Head of Programme Support and Impact is a key leadership role within the Programme Department team, leading a team of specialists to improve the quality of Plan UK’s programme work through providing technical input (in the priority thematic areas on child rights, girls and conflict) and support in learning and impact assessment. The focus of the role will be to provide leadership to the team and to participate in the development and implementation planning for the Plan UK programme strategy for 2014 – 2020.

The chosen candidate will need to be immediately effective in the role and able to contribute at a high level within the organisation as well as representing Plan UK externally. They will need:

significant experience of leading a team and will have worked in a technical advisory/research role within the development sector including living and working overseas in a development role.

to be confident at instigating policy and programme change and communicating effectively with donors, the development community, and research institutions.
