Donors pledge record $7.5B to reach every child with vaccines
27 JANUARY 2015 | BERLIN, GERMANY A high-level event hosted by the German Governments and private donors vowed greater support for the global vaccines program by committing a record $7.5B during Gavi's Pledging Conference in Berlin. The high-level event which was hosted by the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel marked the culmination of the Vaccine Alliance’s second replenishment for 2016 – 2020 and was a rousing success. The funds will help to immunize an additional 300 million children against preventable disease.
