Mission statement

The University Department of Maternal and Child Health is the biggest and most active in Norway - both in terms of clinical care and in research, teaching and training. It contains also the only Pediatric Research Institute in Norway. The clinical spectrum involves both primary, secondary and tertiary care In the Research Institute much intereset is focused on rescusitation of Newborn. The Department is heavily involved in national MNCH planning. and Norway have one of the lowest MDG indicatiors in the world.
