Mission statement

Ekjut works for the improvement of maternal and newborn child health through participatory intervention with women's groups. Groups take part in a participatory learning action cycle to identify and prioritize maternal and newborn problems, find feasible solutions and implement and evaluate together. This participatory process has had an significant effect on improving maternal and newborn outcomes and on reducing post natal depression. A robust low-cost monitoring system helps in tracking the change and evaluate the impact of the intervention.
