Mission statement

The Center for Global Health and Development (CGHD) is a multidisciplinary applied research center that seeks to engage faculty from across Boston University to help solve the critical global health and social development challenges of our times. The mission of the center is to conduct high-quality, policy- and program-relevant applied research and to advocatre for the use of the research evidence to improve the health of low-income or marginalized populations around the world. Through our collaborative work with scientists worldwide, we seek to strengthen individual and institutional capacity to conduct and utilize research.
