White Ribbon Alliance holds governments accountable for their commitments to women’s health. They mobilize local women and men to ensure provision of health services and to support policy change to demand the right of all women to be safe and healthy before, during, and after childbirth. White Ribbon Alliance initiates meaningful social change by translating evidence and knowledge into action. Their work has successfully persuaded governments to increase the number of midwives, the type and quality of health services and increased the number of women accessing services
