Regional consultation for Eastern-Mediterranean Member States on the development of an updated Global NCD Action Plan

The objectives of the Regional Consultation were to review the progress of implementing the Action Plan for the Global Strategy for the Prevention and Control of NCDs in Member States of the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region; and to discuss the political and policy relevance of the 2008-2013 Action Plan in rallying Member States, international partners and the WHO Secretariat around a common agenda and in galvanizing country-level action to reduce the toll of morbidity, disability and premature mortality related to NCDs.
