Access and Services

The opening hours of the Library are :

  • 9:00-12:00 (local time)
  • 14:00-16:00 (local time)

A Reference Librarian is available for all enquiries and any research assistance you may need.

The WHO library is located on the ground floor of the World Health Organization building in Geneva, Switzerland. It is open to anyone requiring WHO-produced information or specific material from the collections which focus on international public health and development.

Visitors need not make an appointment to use the library, but they are requested to sign the register at the main Reference Desk. Reference librarians at the desk will provide orientation to the collections and information about how to use the library.

Researchers who wish to use the Historical Collection should make an appointment by contacting the Library Reference Desk at +41(0)22 791 2062, fax: +41(0)22 791 4150.

The WHO Bookstore is located in the Library where visitors can purchase WHO publications and videos.
