The final report has now been published and is available for download on this website. We are retaining this material on our website for reference purposes.

The purpose of requesting scientific input on the draft report was to provide an opportunity for interested parties to make their views and evidence known before the finalization of the report.

The views that are expressed in the submissions are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not reflect the views or policies of the World Health Organization.

WHO has posted on this web site all submissions as they were received. It should be noted that the submissions have been listed alphabetically.

WHO would like to thank all those who commented on the draft version of the report of the joint WHO/FAO Expert Consultation on diet, nutrition and the prevention of chronic diseases (Geneva, 28 January – 1 February 2002).
