This publication, together with other Evidence for Action Technical Papers, aims to make the evidence for the effectiveness of selected key interventions in EFFECTIVENESS OF DRUG DEPENDENCE TREATMENT IN PREVENTING HIV AMONG INJECTING DRUG USERS accessible to a policymaking and programming audience. The interventions reviewed range from providing information and sterile injection equipment to the impact of drug dependence treatment on HIV prevention.
