Health Poverty Reduction and Economic Development
Intercountry followup workshop, Nairobi, 9-10 March 2007
To discuss strategies to advance the national, regional and global agenda in health and development as part of the WHO/EC partnership commitment. This workshop aims at building capacity for the ministries of health to increase the visibility of the health sector in their respective national development plans and institutionalize policy dialogue instruments with the ministries of finance to seek an increase in budget and aid flows that are consistent with achieving the health MDGs.

High-Level Forum on the Health Millennium Development Goals
The aim of the High-Level Forum on the Health Millennium Development Goals is to provide an opportunity for dialogue between senior policy-makers and identify opportunities for accelerating action on the health-related MDGs.
The first High-Level Forum on the Health Millennium Development Goals was held in Geneva on 8-9 January 2004; the second on 2-3 December 2004 in Abuja, Nigeria; and the third in Paris on 14-15 November 2005.
