Analysing Disrupted Health Systems in Countries in Crisis

22 November - 2 December 2007--The overall objective of the programme is to expand and strengthen the capacity of health professionals in analysing the health systems of countries in crisis, developing adequate response and recovery sector strategies, planning and implementing effective interventions.

Meeting the Health Needs of displaced Iraqis in Neighbouring countries

18 September 2007-- This joint Inter-Agency Appeal to the international community seeks a total of US$ 84 852 332 to provide support to national efforts aimed at improving access to health care for displaced Iraqis living in Syria, Jordan and Egypt. The activities prioritized in the Appeal are based on the Common Action Framework agreed upon during the Ministerial Consultation to Address the Urgent Needs of Displaced Iraqis, convened by WHO in Damascus from 29 to 30 July 2007.

HAC Forum, Geneva

2 May 2007--Each year, Health Action in Crises (HAC) convenes a meeting of donors and partners to update on WHO's work in crises in the past 12 months and to share information on new initiatives.

Public Health Pre-Deployment Training, Moscow

15-28 April 2007--The Public Health Pre-Deployment training is designed to give health and other professionals the public health, personal and operational skills they need to work as part of public health response teams in emergency settings.
