Islamic Republic of Iran earthquakes
14 August 2012 -- Two earthquakes and more than 60 aftershocks struck the Islamic Republic of Iran on 11 August 2012, leaving 255 dead, 2006 injured and more than 16 000 homeless. WHO’s office in the Islamic Republic of Iran is in close contact with UN partners and the head of the Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education to monitor the situation.
