Support for TB proposals to the Global Fund

The Stop TB Department through TBTEAM coordinates with technical partners to fulfill the following objectives to:

• Develop high quality Global Fund TB proposals
• Negotiate and sign TB grants
• Support countries to ensure implementation of Global Fund grants

• Support and guidance

Global Fund Proposal Development Support

TBTEAM supports countries to develop high quality tuberculosis proposals by

• recruitment, and mobilization of external consultants to support in-country
• providing countries with qualified consultants for proposal development
• organizing country conferences calls to bring together and coordinate partners, CCM, NTP, and other people involved in the development of TB proposals
• organising mock review and preparatory workshops
• online trainings, and providing technical advice during proposal development
• facilitating desk review of proposal

Global Fund Grant Negotiation and Signing Support

• Recruitment, training and mobilization of external consultants to support countries with specific issues (e.g. PSM, M&E plan development; development of detailed workplans and budgets, etc);
• Support organization of Global Fund grant signing workshops; and
• Provision of additional support to countries in grant implementation as requested.

Improve TB Control Programme Implementation

• work with the Global Fund on standardization of requirements to ensure alignment with the Stop TB Strategy, thereby simplifying access to and implementation of Global Fund TB grants; and
• strengthen capacity of National TB Programmes (NTPs), other TB implementers (including civil society), technical assistance providers on Global Fund policies and procedures

TBTEAM

TBTEAM, the TEchnical Assistance Mechanism, an initiative of the Stop TB Partnership with its secretariat provided by WHO, facilitates technical assistance to countries during proposal preparation, grant negotiation and implementation of Global Fund grants.
