Support for health system strengthening (HSS) proposals to the Global Fund

This section aims to provide technical guidance to applicant countries in support of the health system strengthening (HSS) activities within Global Fund proposals.

There are some common challenges countries face when addressing health systems topics including in, for example, health human resources, drug distribution and health information systems.

In an effort to support countries in addressing some of these challenges, the WHO has collected helpful orientation materials, tools and publications that may help navigate common problems.

Please note that requests for support from WHO on preparing proposals containing cross-cutting HSS interventions should be made to the WHO country office in the first instance, who will contact regional offices if additional support is needed.
