The WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) requires Parties to promote and strengthen public awareness of a broad range of tobacco control issues.

During the two years up to June 2014, 39 WHO Member States implemented a sustained and effective anti-tobacco mass media campaign at the national level.
