The WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC) requires Parties to promote and strengthen public awareness of a broad range of tobacco control issues.

During 2011 and 2012, 37 Member States implemented a recent, sustained and effective anti-tobacco mass media campaign at the national level.
