Stunting among children aged five or younger: inequality by child's sex

Situation

The median prevalence of stunting among children aged five or younger in low- and middle-income study countries was lower for girls than boys (27.3% and 31.3%, respectively)


Trends

The median prevalence of stunting among females in study countries was 36.4% and 34.2%, and among males, 41.4% and 40.3%, in 2001-2005 and 2006-2010, respectively
