Areas affected by cholera epidemics

2000–2016 epidemics

Since the year 2000 through the year 2016, countries reporting to the WHO have recorded a total of 3.4 million cholera cases and 65,600 deaths. In 2016, major cholera epidemics affected several areas in the world, including Haiti in the Americas, DRC, Somalia and the United Republic of Tanzania in Africa, and Yemen in Asia.
