Cholera
Epidemics of cholera: Globally, cholera incidence has increased steadily since 2005 with cholera outbreaks affecting several continents. Cholera continues to pose a serious public health problem among developing world populations which have no access to adequate water and sanitation resources. In 2011, 32% of cases were reported from Africa whereas between 2001 and 2009, 93% to 98% of total cases worldwide were reported from that continent.
