Hiroko Ando is Currentry Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at Iwate Prefectural University. She is a professor in the Department of Maternity Nursing, and teaches Midwifery and Genetic Nursing. She has been researched into the nursing care of a prenatal diagnosis and a congenital disease. She was a founding member of the Genetic Nursing Committee in Japan and the first president from 2002 to 2008. She is a member of the Global Connections Advisory Committee, Internatinal Society of Nurses in Genetics (ISONG). In addition, she was awarded the ISONG FOUNDER'S AWARD 2002 in recognition of outstanding contribution to the of Nursing or Patient Education in Genetics.

Chris Winkelman RN, PhD, CCRN, is a nurse with 30 years of critical care experience and an interest in how positioning and activity affect recovery in patients during hospitalization in the intensive care unit. Her program of research examines how positioning and early progressive mobility exercise influences inflammatory factors in serum.
