Dr Tedros at the G20 Summit
WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus led the WHO delegation at the G20 Summit which was held on 7–8 July 2017, in Hamburg, Germany. Dr Tedros participated in all G20 sessions, including deliberations on priorities for health, global growth, trade, sustainable development, climate, energy, partnership with Africa, migration, digitalization, women’s empowerment, and employment.
In his remarks to G20, Dr Tedros thanked Chancellor Merkel for her leadership in putting health on the G20 agenda.

Dr Tedros met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during G20 Summit to discuss mutual commitment to global health security.
Dr Tedros meets with the U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at G20. Joining the conversation is Senegal's President Macky Sall.
Dr Tedros, Argentina's President Macri, and Foreign Affairs Minister Faurie are discussing the plans for 2018 G20 to be hosted by Argentina.
Dr Tedros and Norway's Prime Minister Ema Solberg meet on the margins of the Global Citizen Festival on 6 July about education, health, and women’s empowerment.
