65th World Health Assembly adopts new global measures
The Sixty-fifth World Health Assembly concluded on 26 May after adopting 21 resolutions and three decisions. Issues discussed ranged from universal health coverage to noncommunicable diseases, mental disorders, nutrition, adolescent pregnancy, polio eradication, and the WHO reform process. The six days of discussions involved nearly 3000 delegates, including health ministers and senior health officials from WHO’s 194 Member States, representatives of civil society, and other stakeholders.
