World Health Day: Good health adds life to years

Ageing and health was the theme of World Health Day on 7 April. In the next few years, for the first time, there will be more people over 60 years of age than children under five in the world. By 2050, 80% of the world’s older people will be in low- and middle-income countries. The Day focused on how healthy behaviours can help older men and women live full and productive lives and be a resource for their families and communities.
