Haitian health care: a follow-up

Although there are many international agencies trying to improve the health situation in Haiti, it is Haitian doctors and nurses who hold the future in their hands. This story looks at a clinic and a small hospital run by Haitians who are improving the lives of their fellow citizens.
Before the earthquake in January 2010, 46% of Haitian did not have access to health care, because they could not afford it or because there was no health centre near them. Many hope that recent tragedies will have one positive outcome: more attention paid to health care and, eventually, better access for all.
