Financial crisis and health
The global financial crisis could have a significant effect on health and social spending. Global responses to support developing countries are under way. Countries and donors are working to heed WHO Director-General Dr Chan's call to protect our collective investments in health by continuing to improve the performance of health systems and to protect people’s health by making commitments for aid spending.
