Consolidated Ebola virus disease preparedness checklist
The Checklist aims to assist countries assess and test their level of readiness, and be used as a tool for identifying concrete actions to be taken by countries and identifying potential gaps. It outlines 11 key components and tasks for both countries and the international community that should be completed within 30, 60 and 90 days, respectively, from the date of assessment.
This checklist has been revised based on feedback from multi-partner Preparedness Strengthening missions, by various national and international institutions, including WHO, CDC and UN OCHA.
The activities are divided into 2 categories; Minimum Preparedness Requirements and Additional Preparedness Requirements. It is highly recommended that high risk countries implement both the Minimum and the Additional Preparedness Requirements to ensure that they are ready to effectively manage EVD emergence in their respective countries. Other countries are encouraged to review their levels of readiness and, where needed, implement the Minimum Preparedness Requirements.
