Participants
The
Global Consultation brought together some of the world’s
top technical experts and advocates in the field of Child and
Adolescent Health and Development to develop an effective set of
strategies, addressing the needs of children and adolescents.
The
list of participants included high level officials from around
the world. Queen Silvia of Sweden, opened the event with a
discussion on the importance of child and adolescent health. Other high level speakers
came from country delegations. Governmental and
non-governmental agencies and United Nations specialized
agencies were present. The result was a stimulating
mix of expertise, knowledge and experience coming together to
define the way ahead for child and adolescent health.
