Paediatric medicines Regulators' Network (PmRN)
There is a significant need for research and development of paediatric medicines. The lack of suitable paediatric medicines, paired with inconsistent regulatory frameworks, poses significant risks to a particularly vulnerable patient population.
As part of the WHO's Better Medicines for Children initiative a Paediatric medicines Regulator's Network (PmRN) has been set up with representatives from national medicines regulatory authorities (NMRAs) from all regions.
National medicines regulatory authorities are welcome to participate in the network. For further information, interested Member States are encouraged to contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
New regional register of clinical trials conducted in Africa
An open-access platform where clinical trials can be registered free of charge has been launched by the The Pan African Clinical Trials Registry (PACTR). PACTR provides a searchable, electronic database of planned trials and trials currently in progress.
