  • Tobacco Control Country Profiles 2003 (second edition)
    The Tobacco Control Country Profiles (second edition) is an initiative of the 12th World Conference on Tobacco or Health held in Helsinki, Finland during August 2003. The American Cancer Society, World Health Organization, and International Union Against Cancer jointly publish this edition of the monograph. The World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and World Bank Group provided, in kind, data and personnel resources in support of this project.
  • National Tobacco Information Online System
    The National Tobacco Information Online System (NATIONS) is an electronically integrated information system containing country-specific information on a wide variety of tobacco control issues. It provides a uniform structure to monitor and assess the impact of tobacco, assist in the design of tobacco prevention and control programs and policies, and enhance future tobacco surveillance and evaluation research. NATIONS is a collaborative effort among World Health Organization’s Tobacco-Free Initiative at headquarters and Regional Offices, the American Cancer Society, the World Bank, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

  • WHO Regional Office for Europe tobacco control database
    This database contains data on smoking prevalence and various aspects of tobacco control policies in WHO European Member States. It provides standardized information to track and assess the tobacco-related situation within and across countries in the region. Information can be either viewed on a country-by-country basis or in consolidated cross country comparison tables.
