Q: In much of your coverage on the Tsunami crises, you mention "emergency health kits" being sent to the countries affected. What exactly is a health kit? What is in it? For how many people? For how long? And what does it cost?

A: An emergency health kit includes medicines, disposables and instruments to meet the needs of 10000 people for three months.
The total cost of the kit varies because transportation costs vary depending upon where the unit needs to be shipped to and if it is part of a larger shipment or being shipped alone.
