WHO has supported national efforts to improve capacity for identifying and managing cases of yellow fever. By the end of November, more than 400 health workers from all of Darfur’s five states had been trained to recognize the signs and symptoms of yellow fever; report suspected cases to health authorities; collect blood samples for laboratory diagnosis; and treat patients appropriately.
